Hannah Sayer

I am in my second year of studying English Literature at Royal Holloway University of London and I’m passionate about all aspects of film, television, theatre and art. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I graduate, but writing for UK Film Review has been great for improving my writing style and I’ve been able to see some really good and interesting independent films I otherwise wouldn’t have got the chance to see.

I’ve always been interested in all different genres of film and how they are made, so being a film reviewer has been perfect in getting some of my own knowledge out there from reading countless editions of Empire and Little White Lies.

Some of my favourite films are Blue Valentine (2010), Rebecca (1940), American Beauty (1999), The Piano (1993) and anything directed by Christopher Nolan, David Fincher and Nicolas Winding Refn.
