Few TV shows have ever genuinely managed to attain cultural phenomenon status. But when you have bars, whiskeys and festivals named in your honour, and a haircut and dress sense that instantly scream the name of your show (as well as ‘bit of a prick…’), it is fair to say you are worthy of the term. It is therefore impressive that Peaky Blinders – The Real Story manages to find an original angle at which to discuss Steven Knight’s epic historical drama.

Tim Travers & the Time Traveler’s Paradox follows the titular character as he builds a time machine and kills his younger self to see the consequences. This self-obsessed genius scientist, Tim Travers (Samuel Dunning), seeks to find the answer and attempts to unravel the time traveller’s paradox. The piece is a sci-fi screwball comedy that wears its influences on its sleeve, drawing from titles such as Primer (2004) and Rick and Morty (2013-).

Stork of Hope (2026) follows the lives of two brothers who are orphaned during the Nazi occupation of Europe. Directed by Alexander Franskevich-Leie, the story is told retrospectively by Ilya, now an old man with a family of his own. He narrates the perils he and his brother endured during the Nazi occupation, highlighting the fact that he and his brother were forcibly separated.

Derelict (2024) marvellously transcends the boundaries of a gruelling psychological revenge thriller. Jonathan Zaurin’s second feature film takes viewers on a crime-ridden journey of love, grief, suffering and rage, and the ride is full of grit and emotion.
