Having paused the UK Film Review Magazine earlier this year, we gave rebirth to the UK Film Review Podcast with a fresh team of critics and hosts. The results have been incredible, with weekly episodes full of entertainment, banter, and a genuine love of film.
This week, host Ian Lunny was joined by film critic Chris Buick to talk about the cinematic realisations of some DC Comics. Whilst many of the films discussed on the film podcast were to be expected (Superman, Batman etc), there were also some hidden gems for listeners to find out more about and why the team love them so much.
We have aimed to make our film podcast as easy to find as possible, getting it onto many of the major players in the podcast world. You can find it on Spotify, Google Podcasts, iTunes, SoundCloud and many more. Just search for "UK Film Review Podcast" and look for the purple UKFR logo. There is an older podcast which you may also want to enjoy, it has the old black and white logo - so feel free to subscribe to those too.
On our revamped film podcast, you will also find episodes on a variety of topics and filmmakers. We recently dedicated a whole podcast episode to the celebrated filmmaker Edgar Wright, in connection with the release of his documentary The Sparks Brothers. Another film podcast episode dealt with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was a complete riot, with the team sharing their favourites and non-favourites, with plenty of surprises.
