Coming to film fans in 2021, Studiocanal and Blueprint pictures have just released the A Boy Called Christmas Trailer. The film, which has a starry cast including Stephen Merchant, Maggie Smith, Sally Hawkins, Kristen Wiig, Michiel Huisman, Zoe Colletti and Toby Jones, is being helmed by filmmaker Gil Kenan.
Stephen Merchant will voice a character called Miika, an outspoken pet mouse.
A Boy Called Christmas is a Father Christmas origin story. An ordinary young boy called Nikolas sets out on an extraordinary adventure into the snowy north in search of his father who is on a quest to discover the fabled village of the elves, Elfhelm. A Boy Called Christmas is adapted from the bestselling book by Matt Haig; the first of five books in the acclaimed series published by Canongate Books.
