Over the last few years, I’ve also started working behind the camera as well as in front of it, and I tend to wear many hats across British Horror Studio productions. Most recently, I made my feature directorial debut with Spoiling You, an ASMR horror film which premiered at Romford Horror Film Festival in February 2026.

Preparations are exciting, intense, and a little bit crazy, which I think is part of running an independent film festival! This year is particularly special because we are celebrating the 11th edition of the Open World Toronto Film Festival, taking place September 25–27, 2026, at Kensington Studios in Toronto. After eleven editions, I still get excited when I discover a film or filmmaker who surprises me. That feeling has never disappeared.

You are back with a new film, Noblestone. What's it about, and what made you want to return to the quirky caretaker character of Karen, and how did you approach evolving her story this time around?

Claudia Dzienny is an Australian writer-director and comedian whose work blends character-driven comedy with emotionally grounded storytelling.

Right now, I’m based between London and Europe, balancing post-production, development, and creative preparation. I’ve just come off the back of filming Kabul and Hafiach TV series in Wales, which was an intense and deeply meaningful experience, and I’m also focused on developing my original series Amour Noir, which I’m writing and will lead.

Cut Short is noted as telling a "true story." What was the process of researching and adapting Jayden's real-life experiences, and how did you balance the need for factual accuracy with the demands of dramatic storytelling?

The content I create can focus on either new releases or older films. For older movies, quizzes or sharing interesting facts are often included to engage viewers who appreciate nostalgia. "Guess the movie by the intro" has attracted significant attention, with one video receiving nearly 15 million views.
